Let the Good Times ROW - Hands In!
On Friday, September 19th 2025, we Let the Good Times ROW with 180 of our closest friends!
The annual Recovery on Water gala is an opportunity to celebrate the successes of the past year, and the collective 18 years that ROW has been making a difference in the lives of Chicago area breast cancer survivors. This year we also shared who we are to ROW, each guest wearing a nametag identifying the one or more ways they intersect with the organization. No matter how each came in the door of the lovely Woman’s Club of Evanston that night – as a cancer survivor or previvor, as a rower, as a team member or coach, as a sponsor or supporter, as a friend or family member – each left with new connections and friendships.
We ate, laughed and celebrated! And when the time came, guests contributed to the cause. $70,000 was raised through the event, $23,000 at the paddle raise alone. This evening of support positions ROW to grow our team in 2026; strengthening our Novice program with a dedicated coach, expanding capacity for our over 70 returning Masters, repairing equipment and expanding our financial aid.
ROW’s supporters were truly Hands In! in 2025. Thank you for your belief in what sport and community can do for those emerging from breast cancer. 123…ROW!
