How to Join ROW

Recovery on Water (ROW) is a community that welcomes all breast cancer patients and survivors—every age, any background, and all stages of treatment and recovery. The women on our team are committed to supporting each other while getting fit and, in many cases, they have called ROW the silver lining of their breast cancer diagnosis.

No rowing experience is required to join our team! In fact, this may even be your very first foray into exercise or team athletics. While rowing certainly takes practice, it is accessible, safe and fun, and we offer many ways to embrace the sport so that you can meet and surpass your physical fitness goals.

I was intrigued by how ROW was presented to me—a place for support without self-pity. Even though I was interested in joining, it took me a few months to reach out to ROW, partly, I think, because I would have to put myself out there as a cancer survivor.
